1½” Spring Steel. This style of shim works most universal handcuffs. The shim slides between the ratchet and the pawl of the cuffs to quickly release the locking mechanism. Some practice is advised with this style of shim if you are not familiar with it. This style is easiest to hide on the body, in clothing, footwear or watch.
